1795 Talbot and Allum & Lee Halfpenny AU They were engaged in the India Trade and located at 241 Pearl St. in New York City. They placed a number of English made Copper coins in circulation during 1794 and 1795. Obverse: Liberty and Commerce Reverse: At the store of Talbot, Allum & Lee New York Edge: We promise to pay the bearer one Many of these were later cut down and used by the U.S. Mint as planchets for the1795 and 1797 Half cents.
