1850s Professor Johnson's Soap Miller NY 397A-SOLD
Here is a very high grade, very nice looking, old advertising token from the 1850s. The token is brass with an old toning from age and has a reeded edge. diameter: 27.64 MM Location: New York Category- Listed as: Miller 397A. obverse: has a highly detailed portrait with LIBERTY across the head band. The outer lettering reads, "PROFESSOR JOHNSON'S SOAP & STARCH POLISH". An inner set of lettering reads, "317 BOWERY, NY". The reverse has an extremely neat and highly detailed eagle. There is a "UNITED STATES" above the eagle. The peripheral lettering reads, "FOUNTAIN BLACKING/ BRUSH & FRENCH BLUEING". |
