C. 1815 Princess Charlotte (born January 7, 1796) School Merit Award Tenth Integer Token. These tokens were given for good work at some progressive schools. They could be exchanged for money or spent in a school shop.
Charlotte was the only child of the ill-fated marriage between George IV (at the time Prince of Wales) and Caroline of Brunswick. Had she lived, she would have been Queen of the United Kingdom. Princess Charlotte aged 21 died soon after her first baby was stillborn. Had she survived Victoria would have been unlikely to become Queen.Charlotte was the only offspring of George IV and Caroline of Brunswick of whom he was not enamored. Their marriage had broken down before Charlotte was even born, whilst her own blissful union with Leopold of Saxe-Coburg was only to last about 18 months because of her death. She was a very much loved Princess and the World mourned her death.
